Sustainability

ISG has implemented an all-encompassing sustainability programme that enhances the ways we operate and ensures the sustainability of our company, our communities and our environment. Our strategy encompasses areas where we have direct influence, for example our offices and our site operations, and where we have the opportunity to influence others. The strategy covers the three pillars of sustainability, People, Planet and Prosperity:

People: We will continue to develop the skills of our staff and enhance opportunity and meet international standards of social responsibility. Health and safety will remain a priority, as demonstrated through our groupwide attainment of recent RoSPA Awards. We will also promote sustainable development through our supply chain.

Planet: We will take all reasonable measures to ensure that damage to the environment and pollution is minimised. We will increase our efficiency and reduce our dependence upon non renewable resources. We will minimise the waste that we produce and have achieved industry leading levels of recycling of up to 80%.

Prosperity: We will be a good corporate citizen, engaging with local communities and being a considerate constructor. We will improve our capabilities to provide more sustainable construction products and services.
